Cassie Beach Portraits: Clearwater Beach//Clearwater, FL

So of course when I was packing for vacation I made sure to place my camera in the bag. I feel like every time I go on a trip now a days I make sure to have my little sidekick in hand. I knew that coming to Florida would have advantages, not just for the amazing suntan I obtained, but for that golden hour on the beach!!! If you don't know what the golden hour is, it's like the best time ever to take photos for photographers. It's that last glimpse of the sun before it sets for the evening. Seeming that it was ONLY 55 degrees when we shot these, my sister was a trooper for letting me drag her into the ocean. We shot on the exact same beach two years ago for her senior photos and omg what a transformation. This just puts it in perspective to not give up on yourself and to keep striving to do better. To say we killed it on this photo shoot is an understatement. Talk about a glow up!!

Salt Lake City Utah Engagement

So, some friends and I went on a vacation out to Utah at the beginning of the month. To be dead honest the only thing on my mind to do was to get some great shots of the gorgeous landscape. Lucky for me two of my friends had recently gotten engaged. I basically told them I MUST take their pictures out there! A 4-hour plane ride and a 45 min drive up the mountain later, we had arrived. We spent the first day just relaxing since our flight was at 5 am. Unfortunately for us we went on the off season, so everything was either closed or getting ready for the ski season. All-in-all we made our own fun. We hiked up a mountain to a waterfall they called Doughnut Falls, and no there were not doughnuts at the end of this hike. All I kept hearing about in all the photography groups I am in is how we should visit Big Cottonwood Canyon. We took their advice, and omg we were not disappointed. Hands down probably one of the most beautiful places I personally have ever been. One min. we were at an elevation of 5,000 ft. above sea level and enjoying the 60 degree weather, and then the next we were 9,300 ft. up and it was snowing. Needless to say our adventure was amazing and so were the pictures I was able to capture of Michael and Lauren.
